Glidden Point Oyster Farms

Glidden Point Oyster Farms have been growing Maine oysters the old fashioned way in the Damariscotta River for over 30 years. Their oysters are bottom planted in the cold Damariscotta River and slow-grown, not harvested until 4 years of age, leading to large, firm, strong-shelled oysters. They are one of the only oysters in the world hand-harvested by divers, and are praised by chefs and oyster buffs alike for the clean crisp taste, big brine, and easy to open shells.
