Mook Sea Farm
Mook Sea Farm has been raising oysters on the Damariscotta River since 1985. Mook oysters start as larvae in their hatchery and are moved to surface cages in the river in the late spring, where they feed on the rich natural phytoplankton. Mook Sea Farm harvests year-round, and always has an eye towards improving the natural environment through aquaculture. Mook oysters start with a big briny kiss and finish with a sweet glow.
